  • Photos, posts and review replies every week
  • Name, address and phone changes planned around verification

What your profile answers

The searches your profile shows up for

A Business Profile shows up on more than near me searches. People find it by trade, by job and by your name, and each search looks at a different part of the profile.

  • Near me and open now. Distance, category and hours decide who shows. A profile with wrong hours can drop out of open now results. Searches like electrician near me, plumber open now, hvac company near me and roofer open saturday.
  • A specific job. Searches for one job lean on your categories, your services and the website your profile links to. Searches like panel upgrade, water heater installation, gutter cleaning, fence repair and ev charger installation.
  • Your company name. People who heard about you look you up. They check hours, photos and recent reviews before they call. Searches like company name hours, company name phone number, company name directions and company name open sunday.
  • Comparing options. Shoppers comparing companies read reviews, scroll through photos and check how recently you replied to anyone. Searches like best plumber near me, top rated roofer, electrician reviews and highly rated hvac company.

Each search reads a different part of your profile, which is why we fill in every section and keep it current.

How we choose your categories

Here is the method, shown for an electrical contractor. One primary for the work you most want, extras only for services you really sell, and nothing added just to appear in more searches.

Google Business Profile categories at a glance
CategoryTypeWhen to use it
ElectricianPrimaryMatches the core electrician searches. We confirm it against the businesses ranking in your area before touching anything.
Lighting contractorAdditionalOnly if lighting design and installation is a service you sell on its own.
Electric vehicle charging station contractorAdditionalOnly if EV charger installs are a regular part of your week.
Solar energy system serviceAdditionalOnly if your crews put panels on roofs, not just connect someone else's install.

Changing your business name, address, phone or primary category can send the profile back through verification. We plan those changes, make one at a time, and never right before your busy season.

What we set up for you

Every section of your profile, filled in

An empty section is a missed chance to match a search or answer a question. We fill every part that applies to your business, then keep it current.

Services

Every service you sell, with a short, plain description, matched to a page on your website.

Photos

Trucks, crews, shop and finished jobs, added every week, with nothing borrowed from stock sites.

Updates

Weekly posts about jobs, seasons and offers, so the profile never looks abandoned.

Hours

Regular, holiday and special hours, updated ahead of every holiday so callers never hit a closed shop by surprise.

Service area

The towns you cover, kept within a reasonable drive of your base, with the address hidden if customers never visit.

Reviews

A review link your crew can send, and a reply to every review, good or bad.

Your website backs it up. Each service on the profile has a page on your site, and both list the same name, address and phone.

Every week

The routine that keeps a profile alive

A Business Profile is not a set and forget listing. This is what we do on yours each week, all year.

  • Posts: A fresh update. A recent job, a seasonal reminder or a new service, written short with a clear next step.
  • Photos: New job photos. Real photos from the week's work, so the profile shows a company that is busy and still around.
  • Reviews: Replies to everyone. A short, personal reply to every new review, including the ones that sting.
  • Edits: Watch for changes. Google and the public can suggest edits to your hours, phone or category. We catch and fix the wrong ones.
Common mistakes

Profile mistakes that cost you the map

Some of these quietly hurt rankings. Others can get a profile suspended overnight.

Get Started
  • A city or service added to the name. Tacking panel upgrades or a town onto your business name breaks Google's guidelines and invites a suspension. What we do instead: The name on your sign and paperwork, with nothing added.
  • Showing a home address. Service area businesses that show a home address invite strangers to the door and break Google's rules for that setup. What we do instead: Address hidden and a service area set for the towns you cover.
  • Duplicate listings. Old profiles from a past address or phone number split your reviews and confuse Google about which listing is real. What we do instead: Duplicates found and handled through Google's own process.
  • Categories for work you do not do. Extra categories added to show up in more searches bring the wrong calls and can draw a closer look from Google. What we do instead: Categories only for services you sell today.
  • Wrong hours and missed edits. A holiday closure never set, or a public edit that changed your phone number, can cost calls for weeks before anyone notices. What we do instead: Weekly checks on hours, phone number and suggested edits.

How it works

How we work on your profile

We fix the risky problems first, then fill the gaps, then keep the profile active every week.

  • Check for risks: Duplicate listings, a keyword stuffed name, a virtual office or a wrong address: the things that can get a profile suspended.
  • Fill the gaps: Categories, services, descriptions, hours, service area, attributes and photos, completed for the work you actually sell.
  • Connect the site: Service and city pages on your website that match the profile, with the same name, address and phone everywhere.
  • Keep it active: Weekly posts and photos, review replies, checks on edits suggested by the public, and a monthly keyword report showing every move.
FAQs

Google Business Profile questions, answered

Yes, if you serve customers at their location and they do not visit you. You hide the address and set a service area. Google asks that the area stay within about two hours of driving from your base.

Common reasons are keywords in the name, a virtual office or mailbox as the address, and more than one listing for the same business. Fixing those risks comes first in our work.

Only when there is a real reason, and only after we explain the risk. A change to the name, address, phone or primary category can send the profile back through verification, so we plan it with you.

Posts keep the profile current and give people a reason to call. Google retired the public questions section on profiles in late 2025, so we answer common questions in your services and on your website.

It is part of Local SEO, which starts at $999/month with your website included. The profile and the site support each other, so we run them as one plan. Website design covers the site side.
